Dental anxiety affects many people. If you're tense or anxious, please tell Dr. Miner or a staff member, so we can adapt your appointment to your needs. There are many ways we can make your visit to our office a more pleasant experience. Dr. Miner offers different options to help ease your anxiety. With these options, you are conscious, but you are much more relaxed.
1. Nitrous oxide gas, also known as laughing gas, is an option that can be used during your appointment. This is a gas which helps the patient feel more relaxed. The effects last during the appointment and the patient is back to their usual self when they leave.
2. Dr. Miner can prescribe a medication to take before your appointment which helps ease anxiety. The effects of the medication are long lasting; therefore the patient will need a ride to the office and home again.
3. Relaxation Dentistry - Medications are utilized to help bring the patient to a very relaxed state. Nitrous oxide in combination with the medication helps reduce the anxiety. Many of our patients that have used this option report they "feel good" during their treatment. Many also say the do not remember much about the appointment. Relaxation dentistry can be a great option for patient to have a lot of dentistry completed in only one or two appointments.

Family Dentistry
We provide dental services to the entire family. We see children and adults of all ages. Parents are allowed to accompany their child during the procedure. We ask that parents, if they choose to accompany their child follow our guidelines.
With your health in mind, we use a digital panoramic x-ray system, which eliminates radiation by up to 80%. 
("cleanings") - A licensed dental hygienist provides routine cleanings and other periodontal services.
Dr. Miner is one of a few dentists in southwest Colorado that can surgically place and restore dental implants, which saves the patient additional trips and expense to go to a specialist. He provides implants for a single missing tooth all the way to implants to stabilize dentures.

We provide gold and porcelain (tooth-colored) crowns.
Dr. Miner provides "root canal" treatment, which usually involves a tooth with a large cavity, broken tooth/filling or the tooth has died. The inside of the tooth is cleaned out and a filling material is placed into the root of the tooth to preserve the tooth and root.
Periodontal disease is the #1 reason for tooth loss today. There are both non-surgical and surgical methods of treating this condition to help our patients keep and maintain their teeth. Periodontal disease has been associated with several systemic conditions including: heart disease, diabetes, pre-term low birth weight babies and others.
We principally offer tooth-colored composite fillings, as well as traditional silver fillings.
We offer both "in-office" whitening or custom take home kits.
