Dental implants offer the benefits of being:

Dental implants are the modern day solution to missing teeth. Dental implants can replace a single missing tooth (front tooth and/or back tooth), used to stabilize loose dentures, or to replace an entire arch of missing teeth.
Benefits of dental implants
-
Highly Successful — The success rate for dental implants is in the 90% range - most of the time at 98%
-
Long Lasting — A bridge might last 7-12 years, but an implant can last a lifetime
-
More Natural — Dental implants will feel like you are getting your own tooth back
-
Aesthetically Pleasing — Enjoy a beautiful smile as implant dentistry restores the look of healthy, natural teeth
-
Allow You to Eat What You Want — Dental implants are like natural teeth because they are anchored firmly in your jaw -- eat your favorite foods in comfort and confidence
-
Preserve Facial Appearance — Implant dentistry preserves the underlying bone structure and facial appearance after you lose a tooth
-
Easier to Maintain — It is easy to clean a dental implant - just brush and floss. It won't get cavities!
-
Saves Healthy Teeth — Two healthy teeth adjacent to a missing tooth must often be ground down to anchor a bridge, but dental implants leave the adjacent teeth untouched
-
More Comfort for Removable Dentures — Implant dentistry can secure a removable denture for better function and comfort
Advantages of dental implants
For missing tooth/teeth
A dental implant will never develop a cavity. For this reason, implants are superior, compared to the traditional bridge. When a bridge is made, the teeth adjacent to the missing tooth are stripped of their protective enamel. If one of these teeth develops a cavity or other problem, the entire bridge may need to be replaced. With an implant, the adjacent teeth next to the missing tooth are not harmed. Hence if one of those teeth has a cavity or problem, only that tooth needs to have a filling. Another advantage is that when an implant is placed and has the crown completed, the implant looks natural, as though the tooth were not missing.
Dental implants provide a very pleasing, esthetic and functional result.
For dentures
Over time when teeth are missing, the underlying bone and tissues continue to change and shrink away. Dentures become increasingly loose and difficult to wear. Eating is more difficult and the dentures seem to move around and don’t stay in place.
With dental implants, dentures can be stabilized and/or completely supported by implants. This stability allows the patient to eat almost like they were using their own teeth, minimizing sore spots; all this because the dentures are much more stable.
Mini-implants
Mini-implants are a great option to stabilize dentures in one appointment. The advantages of mini-implants are that in about 2 hours, the implants can be placed and adapted to the denture. There is no incision, no sutures and they are immediate. There is not the need for the traditional time for "healing."
For instance, you can come in the morning to Dr. Miner, have the "mini-implant system" placed in less than two hours, then go out and enjoy your favorite lunch. Eat comfortably, have a pleasant conversation, laugh and talk with confidence.
