If you’re missing teeth and have not received treatment, you should do so at your very earliest convenience. Maybe your missing teeth embarrass you, and maybe they don’t but it is important to treat the missing tooth as early as possible before you begin to experience oral problems.
It is usually unknown or not thought of that missing teeth can cause soft tissue and bone weakening. If you do not seek dental treatment for false tooth/teeth shortly after you lose them, you put yourself at risk for losing bone density and gum strength, which affects your facial structure. There are many options available for patients who are missing teeth, and you should contact your doctor if you are among those people.

Ever wonder why your dentist gives you a toothbrush at your routine visits? While it may seem like a simple parting gift, it is more than that. Dentists give toothbrushes to their patients because it is a perfect reminder to switch out your tooth brushes. Generally, routine checkups for teeth cleanings occur every six months. This is too long for a toothbrush change, but it is most likely more often than the average brush change for patients. It is recommended by the American Dental Association, or the ADA that you should change your toothbrush every three to four months, or when your bristles become frayed.

An underlying cause of facial aging is the loss of collagen within your face, the Sculptra® aesthetic treatment is an FDA approved injectable that helps replace that lost collagen. Results of the Sculptra® treatment can last more than 2 years, correcting deep facial wrinkles and folds that you have accumulated over time. This treatment is especially important to older patients since your body slows collagen production within your mid-to-late twenties and by your 40s 20% of your total collagen is lost, the Sculptra® treatment is a great way to reverse that statistic.

Dental implants have become the preferred method for tooth replacement over the last two decades because they function like natural teeth. If you have a missing tooth or teeth, you should not wait to replace them. The longer you wait, the bone around your missing teeth will begin to deteriorate and can eventually cause several oral health issues such as other teeth beginning to shift or bite problems.
